20th Anniversary
1998 - 2018
Congratulations W.T.T.C
4th Dec 1998 - 7th Dec 2018
20th Anniversary.
When I founded the club 20 years ago, I never imagined that the club would develop into what we have today. I must thank all the committee members, captains, players and associate members for all the work and effort that they have put into the club to make it the success that it is today. Also, I must not forget to thank the then Parish Council who purchased 2 Table Tennis Tables for us as well as sponsoring us for 6 months until we got established.
Finally, may I wish you all a very Happy Xmas and trust that we have a successful New year in the Table Tennis Year and at the same time thanking you all for all your effort for and in the club and trusting that you will continue for a long time to come.

20th Anniversary.
When I founded the club 20 years ago, I never imagined that the club would develop into what we have today. I must thank all the committee members, captains, players and associate members for all the work and effort that they have put into the club to make it the success that it is today. During those years we have had some 283 members of which 52 were female and today we have 39 members on the current club register from those numbers we were able to enter 112 teams into the Chesterfield TT Leagues We have had several successes with the teams as well as with individuals all of which are listed on one of my many sets of statistics and which I hope will eventually be recorded onto the club web site for you all to read at your leisure.
Looking at the present team’s situation in the league I am hoping that with some careful planning we will have a team eligible to play in the first division next year and that another team will qualify from the 4th division to play in the third-tier next season. The worst situation that could arise is that we finish with 3 teams in division 3 which would mean that the better players in those teams would be missing out on vital match experience in division 2 preparing them for playing up and helping out the First division players.
Early next year the Parish Council will be having a referendum regarding the Parish Rooms, whether it should be rebuilt or refurbished dependant on what the village vote outcome is. From the club’s point of view, I hope that the decision will be to rebuild because if not then we might have to find alternative accommodation for the 2019-2020 season which is going to be very difficult, so if anybody has any ideas as to where there is a large enough venue that might suit our requirements then please let one of the committee know.
Finally, may I wish you all a very Happy Xmas and trust that we have a successful New year in the Table Tennis Year and at the same time thanking you all for all your effort for and in the club and trusting that you will continue for a long time to come.
Brian (a very satisfied founder)
